Why hello there, happy readers! Sorry I've been so M.I.A. lately but we were busy busy busy these last few weeks. With The Fiance's birthday, PCATs, camping trip, and engagement photos out of the way, I can breathe easy for about two minutes. Then we are off on a jet plane to Hawaii for a week! This means friends' wedding, family- and friend-quality-time-bonding, B&E wedding planning, and general beachiness. Can't wait!

In the meantime, I'll leave you loyal readers with some pictures of inspiration, thoughts, and nonsensical ramblings. First things first! We have a save-the-date postcard in the works thanks to the lovely and talented Miss Nikki Thommes for which we need 28-cent stamps. Alas, there are only polar bear stamps! Not that I have anything against polar bears, I love polar bears and am terrified that my children's children will never be able to see one, but I do not love polar bear stamps on my save-the-date. Bridezilla? Maybe.

Anyway, I had these made up, and I think they are truly radical.

That's us, in Vancouver! Love it! And going through was sooo much cheaper than Zazzle! I highly recommend it :)

So I got a call from Ania Bridal in Portland that my dress will be ready to be picked up in January! That means I have until then to find the Shoes. I know I said I wanted Loub's Very Noeud but dang it they are hard to find! Plus, shoes are way too fun to stop shopping for. Ever.

As I was browsing some UK bridal mags in Barnes and Noble today (one of my new favorite time-wasters) I came across a couple of brands I've never heard of. Take a look; the first two are Dune and the second two are Office shoes.

Riiiiiiight?? Sooo cute!

Now check this out, how amazing would it be to have Eloise Corr Danch decorate your wedding with all of her paper art? She is beyond talented.

This makes me want to run out and buy a ton of construction paper and start cutting out flowers now now now! Who's with me?

This is probably a more realistic do-it-yourselfer. It's flowers hung by fishing line and placed behind the officiant at an outdoor wedding. Super pretty and doable!

We haven't even talked about cakes yet (not really anyway), but look at all the great options? The only things Brett needs to have are red velvet and chocolate... so can-do!

Veils veils veils... so pretty! It's all (ALL!) in the details. I love the floral headpiece.

This trellis archway is so pretty, very rustic and sweet.

This is from the same wedding, and holy moly I want that tent! Is this not the prettiest tent? So festive! A later picture from this wedding showed a bunch of bonfires around the tent--I'm guessing to keep people warm as this was a late winter/early spring wedding.

As you already know, I'm obsessed with the menswear portion. And the bridesmaids, too, a little, just because it's not come together yet. But more so menswear. I mean obsessed-obsessed.

Love it!

Hate it.

Ha! Not happening.

Girls' turn:
So sweet.

Well, that's it for this episode! We won't be back for awhile, so I hope you and yours enjoy your Labor Day weekend! For all my Hawaii peoples, can't wait to see you! XOXO

Date Night!

I'm lucky enough to be blessed with a man who values the Date Night as much as I do. He still routinely plans completely unexpected date nights that always makes me smile and warms my heart. Tonight is one of those nights, and I have no idea what's in store for us--but I'm sure it'll be some sort of wildly fun misadventure!

Before we run off to do that, I thought I would write a quick blog, considering how many photos I've accumulated in the past two days (during study breaks ;) ♥

A couple that bakes together stays together!! Super cute e-shoot! You rarely see ones that are indoors!

This section I'm naming Beautiful People. I love the colors and the way these photos make me feel. Isn't the Day-After pics (underwater ones) amazing? I die. So happy our photographers include Day-After pics in our package! :)

I know I know I know. I'm obsessed with menswear. I never thought about menswear before, but now it's all I ever think about. What Brett wants to wear, what he wants his groomsmen to wear, what he wants to wear for our e-shoot (three changes of clothes--note I did not use the word "outfit," he hates that), and most importantly what I want him and his groomsmen to wear.

Check out the middle pics--the gray suits from J.Crew. It's what I want. I'm 98.24% sure. Let's make it happen, people!

Oh, I forgot to tell you! Brett and I went to look at wedding bands last weekend! He tried on all sorts, all colors and sizes, metals, price points. And we had to admit we couldn't really tell the difference from the $10K from the $300 rings. But lookie at this one! It has a slide show built in to it! Interesting... but not for us.

That's a cool way to wear a veil. There are so many different types of veils: ballet, bird cage, blusher, cathedral, chapel, fingertip, flyaway, hats, tiaras, etc. etc. etc... And brides get creative with them, which I love and am always on the lookout for. But I do think there is a very thin line between elegantly eccentric and just weird and tacky. I don't think I'll be bold enough to walk that line on my big day.

♥ Loves this!

Look at this cake! So gorgeous! I wish peonies were in season for longer than three minutes a year.

Hanging centerpieces!! If I were in front of you right now, I would be squealing with delight looking at this picture. But since I'm sitting in the study by myself and Brett is upstairs working, I'll just keep it to myself. EEEEeeeeeee!!

OOOOOOH my gosh. I love this table setting! The flowers and colors! Seriously, looking at wedding photos all day long makes me superlatively happy. And at one point I thought that I would never get married! LOL!

Date night commencing in T minus 10 minutes. I have to go freshen up.

Have a lovely weekend, my lovely readers! ♥

Twelve Months to Go!

Pssst! Guess what? The Fiance and I are getting married in a YEAR! Sooo excited! I still can't believe I found the one person in the whole world who is my perfect fit. Mmmm... happy.

Although I tried to stay away from this and all blogs for a couple days, I couldn't resist, it being the one-year mark and all. So, in celebration of our future anniversary, I'm writing this blog!

This week Amore Studios was scheduled to take our engagement photos (as I'm sure you'll remember from my obsessive ravings in previous posts) but alas Bryan, our talented photographer, was rushed to the ER with serious medical issues. We wish him a speedy recovery and keep him in our thoughts and prayers. E-shoot rescheduled, and I will keep you posted! ♥

Still on the forefront of my fanatical, single-minded brain is Brett's and his groomsmen's attire. We went to J.Crew in University Village (they carry the whole wedding line) to try some on but alas (again!) they were sold out of all their summer suits. The sales girl suggested we come next March. Poop. I'm trying to get Brett to invite all six of his men to come next March so we can cross all of them off our to-do list.
What do you think of these?

I think I'm only joking with these bow-tied looks. I think. I kinda like them. I don't know anymore. I'm confused.

This one looks a little small on him. But I like the color. I still want Brett to wear a vest though.

Me likey streamers. A LOT. Overenthusiastic about them, really.

Oh my god. The equivalent of porn to me. Wedding dress porn. Drooooool.

I wish I were invited to this wedding.

Brett got me a customized engagement ring (made in Paris! swoon ♥). The jeweler doesn't do wedding bands, so we probably have to order a customized wedding band from him. Isn't the wedding band in this picture super pretty? Hint hint, honey. :) teehee. Luvu!

Our colors! Kind of... :)

Sweet e-shoot pictures.

Happy Friday, lovely readers! I hope you have a fabulous weekend, and if you're in Seattle, see you at Seafair!! Love, e.

365 days and counting! ♥
