Rain, Rain, Go Away!

source
Happy Friday readers! I don't know about you, but I have just about enough of this rain and gloom. Bring on Spring! Alas, for us Seattlites, Spring never really arrives, just more soggy and gray days. Ah well, I've got my love to keep me warm. So cheeseball.

Good news: second pharm school interview lined up for next week Saturday! This one is the big one, so people, please cross fingers, toes, and eyes for me. Oooooh, pharmacy school is so close! Aaah! Love it.

I promised pretty pictures and I will deliver. Let's get to the good stuff first. Shoes shoes shoes!!

How does it work that beautiful shoes make even the worst day seem not-as-terrible? It's a phenomenon.

This blue and pink wedding is so pretty! I love their his and hers bow ties :)

Doesn't this wedding look like a forest fairy tale? So pretty! I want to throw a party in the forest with candlelight! Let's! I want birds and cute little mice to help me get ready.

How cute is this yellow country gingham wedding?

OMG this wedding is unbelievable! Those invitations are the best! Kinda makes me want to pack up and elope to Mexico!

This couple found 300 vintage postcards to use as a guestbook. I read of another pair who asked their guests to mail back to them self-addressed, stamped postcards anytime within the upcoming year. People think of the best ideas.

This wedding took place in Colombia, and it is absolutely gorgeous!

*Sigh*

Last but not least, I'm thinking of incorporating a logo for the wedding. Too much? Check out these koozies:

I want some! Nikki created the best "B&E" logo already too... hmmmm...

That's it for now, folks. I'm off to work tonight! If you're in the area, stop by and say hello!
Have a great weekend, friends! ♥

Pharm Schools, Job Changes, and Moves, OH MY!

Greetings, y'all! I am back from a short trip to the South for a pharmacy school interview and am thrilled to tell you that I got accepted!! So exciting! We are still waiting to hear back from three other schools, but we have a lot to think about! Fiancé and I like to joke that the least scary and uncertain element of this year is our wedding, of which we have practically no anxiety compared to the other big changes that will occur.

When we first got engaged, I suggested we wait until 2012 to get hitched, but Fiancé insisted that we do everything all at once, and I'm actually glad he did. I can't wait to be his Mrs. Now if we can only figure out where we're going to live and what he's going to do!

This will be a short short short post (and I'm going to be lazy and cite the photo sources later) because I have a lot of school work to catch up on! Two exams tomorrow! Plus, Fiancé has a quick business trip to Boston this week and I have to drop him at the aeroporto tomorrow morning early early early. And I'm having a few girlfriends over tomorrow night for a multi-lady date (Dad's out of town!). Teehee. ♥

Papa and Mama Bear! Sooo cute! Love these engagement shoot pictures!

Check out this reception tent--isn't it gorgeous? Hmmm... I wonder if I can convince the Mister to upgrade our tent ;)

This wedding is so pretty and posh. Definitely liking the loungey setup by the dancefloor.
Check back later this week and I'll have the links so you can look at all the other pictures!

Finally, new Jeffrey Campbell shoes. Droooool.

That's it for today! I'll see you guys again before the week is up--I have so many pretty "real wedding" pictures to share! :)

Oh, and I'm going to be taking on a bunch of DIY projects in the near future that I'll be showing and telling you about too! Cross your fingers that they come out and that I can fight my inner impatient and easily frustrated demons.

2011, You're Amazing Already!! ♥

Hauoli Makahiki Hou! Fiancé and I are back from spending Christmas in Hawaii with my family (pure bliss!) and fresh off a weekend of stolen kisses behind the bar on New Year's Eve, drunken nights with friends, and a quickie vacay just the two of us. I love Fiancé so much--he makes me a lucky lucky girl

How did you spend your NYE? This night used to be spent at my mom's house in Aiea, Hawaii with my mom, gramma, and sister. We would make a layer of Pop-pop's on the ground on our front lanai and at midnight stomp all over them! LOL! Imagine the four of us stomping around trying to get all the Pop-pop's and bumping into each other. Afterwards, we would drink champagne and giggle for hours. So much fun! I love them memories :)

Speaking of New Year's, Style Me Pretty, one of my absolute favorite wedding blogs--quite possibly the best one out there--just published an e-mag that you can find here. It includes the top ten weddings of 2010. Check it out, trust me!

A lot of posts recently were the "Best of 2010" lists. One of them led to this beautiful Valentine's Day-themed engagement shoot:

Gorgeous, right?

Twenty-eleven is the year in which many of my friends (plus yours truly!) are getting married--and I'm anticipating quite a few engagements this year too! Wasn't this past holiday season full of celebrity engagements? A short list: Sherry Shepherd, Vivica Fox, Hugh Hefner, Leanne Rimes, Reese Witherspoon, Lily Allen, Jason Mraz, Tony Romo, Ginnifer Goodwin, Shania Twain, Kelsey Grammar... I could go on, but I'll stop. For all the newly engaged, Congratulations!! The post-proposal glow is the happiest feeling I have ever experienced so don't forget to just take it all in with your betrothed and not get overwhelmed with other planning or worrying.

Anyway, my bestfriendforever Nikki, has been sweet enough to design our stationery for the wedding, and the time has come to start thinking about what we are going to do! Some pretty paper...

Love this bride's dress, hair, and natural, pretty makeup.

This wedding reminds me of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

This is a real wedding that I spotted on Grace Ormonde's glamorous wedding site. Not to hate on Nicole Ritchie or anything, but this bride did NR's dress the right way. I hated it on NR! :( Still love her though!

Meh.

This wedding is too tooooo tooooooo cute!! OMG. This couple had a wedding for two! They were the only people there! So romantic! ...Buuuut it also makes me think, "What could they be talking about over dinner?" Seriously, what are they discussing? The ceremony? Looks kinda lonely too. But still, I like this wedding. It speaks to my inverted, shy self. But then my out-going self tells my shy self to stop being such an old fuddy duddy.

That's it for this time! Happy 2011, my sweet readers! ♥ I look forward to everything this year has in store for us!
XO
