Keep Calm and Marry On!

[via]
With just 38 days to go until our big day, the house has been buzzing with activity. I officially leave Seattle for good (!!) in a week (-> Honolulu -> Spain -> North Carolina) so this means packing, planning, saying goodbye, partying, camping, drinking, hanging with as many friends as possible, floating down Yakima River, standup paddleboarding, dating (won't see B for three weeks!), cleaning, prepping, DIYing. There's a LOT going on.

But hey, I'm up for it and I have nothing better to do! I ♥ my life right now! It's so fun!

I didn't really mention this, but our joint bachelor/ette parties in Vegas was absolutely amazing! Brett and I feel truly blessed to have such radical friends. AND I have a ton of cute new undies! LOL! Thank you again, friends! You guys are the bestest! ♥

I've decided, since I have so many weddings to share, that I will group them accordingly: "colorful/creative" and "classic pretty." But first, check out this table game:

Isn't it cute? And, just so we're clear, I totally gave the FiancĂ© butterflies on our first date. Me? Cool as a cucumber. Speaking of, is it fair to celebrate first date + official bf/gf status + wedding anniversaries? Three anniversaries a year... sounds about right, don't it? LOL.

Okay, the first wedding is a super-hero themed one, and it is fantastic!

Oh my gosh. Can we talk about this one please? It's like all an awesome childhood bomb exploded in the room! Lite Brite + Pez + cereal? Hello! So good. And the ring bearer and flower girl are beyond cute. I LOVE this wedding!!

Here's a few from one that was inspired by one of my favorite movies, Amelie.

And finally, a colorful Kentucky wedding:

The umbrella decor with the twinkle lights and the thumbprint guest book? Ah! So lovely. :)

Now we get to the three classic pretty weddings. All of them feature brides that blew me away style-wise. Check out the amazing gowns! The first one is so gorgeous with the backdrop and the decor that at first I assumed it was a bridal shoot for a magazine!

Isn't it amazing! My goodness she is so beautiful and her style is so unique, I am a big fan of this one!

The next one is a New York elopement and if there's anything I love, it's New York and elopements! How romantical! And check out her dress!!! It deserves three exclamation points!!!

Isn't it breathtaking? So beautiful! And I love the very New York atmosphere, in Central Park, with the skyline as a backdrop. Awesome.

Last but not least, a sweet garden wedding.

I promised to keep up with my blogging, so that's what I plan on doing! I aim for a post or two per week, so this week: done!

Our upcoming week's schedule:
Thursday: dinner date (quality B+E time)
Friday: low-key drinks with friends
Saturday: SUPing, Zombiefest in Fremont, dinner + cocktails
Sunday-Monday: camping and floating the Yakima
Tuesday: cleaning, packing, planning, lunch with girlfriends, small dinner party
Wednesday: more cleaning, packing, prepping, last night out on the town!
Thursday: fly away to Hawaii!

If you're around and I like you, please join us! If you're in Hawaii, see you soon! ♥

Saw this Kiehl's Father's Day ad and thought, "This is the cutest picture ever!" So I wanted to share it with you. I can't wait til Brett gets to put on his Daddy pants. :)

THE Most Beautiful Venue (in my humble opinion)

[via]
Ever since I first saw pictures of a wedding at the Haiku Sugar Mill in Maui, it has stayed with me. From the vintage, paint-peeled walls of the cottage to the open brick-lined veranda and manicured gardens, it is absolutely breathtaking! Can one of my friends please get married here so I can see it in person?!

As you can probably tell, it is a smaller venue so the guest list would likely be under 100 guests, but if it's a destination wedding, this shouldn't be much of a problem. What do you think? Isn't it gorgeous?!

On a separate note, sorry I've been missing in action--we had our joint bachelor/ette parties in Vegas two weeks ago and recuperated last week. Plus with my impending move (I leave for Hawaii next week!) there have been a lot of goings-on, both the social and the responsible kind, lately. Seems like there just isn't enough time in the day!

I promise to write again soon! I have major catching up to do!

Congratulations, Bryson and Elisabeth Tillinghast! ♥

Summer Lovin' ♥

Happy June, lovies! I'm pleased to say that we have had a pretty awesome start to summer! This past weekend alone, we got to lay out at Greenlake, go out for drinks in Belltown, sun at Golden Gardens, hang out with my family, and have a messy, rollicking beer-and-friends-day at the ball park (and the Mariners WON!). So fun.

In wedding news, two months from today, we will be married and on our way to Spain! Mrs. Erin Shoemaker. How very un-Yano-like. I'm excited for all the changes we're about to dive into. It's one misadventure after another, so stay tuned!

After searching and hesitating and changing our minds over and over, we finally found our flowergirls' attire! Nope, it's not the one pictured here (it's a surprise!)--though she is a pretty peach--and I have to say: it's NOT what I thought it would be. I found it at the mall during Memorial Day weekend on sale for $8 each! Can't wait to see Peyton and Isabelle in their little outfits.

I've already seen my nephew, Tanner, in his ring bearer attire and OMG he is going to knock your socks off! LOL! Soooo goshdarn cute; he's such a character!

School is just about over--one presentation on Friday, one more day of yoga, two more days tutoring, and one final and then DONE! Done done done done done! I can't wait for this quarter to be over and I can for reals concentrate on getting the wedding planned. I know this time is precious and one day I'll look back, remember how happy I am, and wish to go back to this but right now I want the wedding to be completely planned so I can relax for the first time in a year! LOL! Have I mentioned how much we are looking forward to the honeymoon?

The bride's floral halo is so pretty and makes her look like a fairy. I also think it's interesting that they did an indoor ceremony and outdoor reception.

Love the bridal party's mismatched but coordinated attire, don't you? I am probably most looking forward to having all of our loved ones at the same place and time for a few days.

Barn wedding with twinkle lights and lacy baby breath centerpieces... so pretty! To be honest, I'm not quite sure what our florist has up his sleeve, but from hearing his ideas and what props/decor he intends to use/make, I know it's going to be amazing!

This sweet and colorful wedding shoot is worth a look, especially if you're into pretty candy stuff. I do like taking inspiration from wedding shoots, but I find real wedding pictures more fun.

Well, Brett and I are going to Alani's going away party! I am so happy that she and Dan are moving to San Francisco! Gives us a really good reason to pay that city a visit and I love SF!

Toodles! Have a great rest of the week! ♥
