The Light at the End of the Tunnel!

I am litchrally (my British accent) 24 hours away from summer vacation! I cannot express in words how excited I am! It's surreal that our first year of pharmacy is thisclose to over--it has barely sunk in yet that I got in to pharmacy school!

So, immediately after my last final tomorrow morning, I am off to the airport to get back to rainy Seattle and all my lovies (see picture, above). I've missed laughing til my sides hurt with those monkeys! Also super looking forward to celebrate the upcoming nuptials of Miss Alani at her bachelorette party!

Well, I still have to study a bit more, pack, put away laundry, and do other little household chores before tomorrow so this will be short and sweet. To all my fellow P1's, Congrats! We've made it! Y'all have an amazing summer, and if you find yourselves on Oak Island, holla atcha girl! Hahaha!

To all these crazies pictured, I will be seeing you soon! I've missed you so!!

Three years ago at Wamu Theater in Seattle...

...after two months of wonderful, side-splitting dates,
this guy...

...asked this girl...

...at this concert, surrounded by hundreds of people...

...to be his girlfriend :) She felt like she was dancing on air, even though she NEVER dances.

And exactly one year later...

...on a grassy hilltop overlooking the city where they fell in love, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. ♥

Said girl--me--was so thrilled and shocked that I forgot to say yes or even look at the ring! Mind you, this was after months of asking B if he wanted to get married to me one day with disappointing, if any, answers. Little did I know that he had started planning the proposal even back then, and was just teasing me! I was by that time so anxious that I would scare him off that I stopped mentioning the "M" word.

Curious to know just how OCD my hubs is? After the proposal, we headed to dinner and a stay at a beautiful hotel [for the full proposal story, click here]. He handed me this letter, which fully detailed his planning and preparation for the big day. I love this man.

[if you truly need to read what it says, you can click on the pictures to enlarge them]

After Brett shook me and said, "You didn't even say yes yet! Nor have you looked at the ring!" I said, "Sure, why not," (just kidding) and gasped when I he slid this bad boy onto my finger...

[Sebastien Barier designed setting, bought at Fox's Gem Shop in Seattle]

He loves this quote, but I swear I didn't mean to be funny, the first thing I said was, "It's so gorgeous, I want to eat it!" I truly meant it--gosh, I'm such a weirdo. Who knew that Husband could choose the stone and setting separately to design my dream ring all by himself? So good.

And a HUGE HUGE HUGE shout-out to our besties in Seattle, Christine and Justin on their engagement! These two are seriously the funnest, happiest, and most genuine people and we are over-the-moon giddy for them! Hapa babies: now! :) We love you guys!

I have to note that she DID catch the bouquet at our wedding ♥

Seriously love this chick!

Thank you, as always, for reading!

Happy Birthday, Sister!!

Special post today to wish a GIANT....

♥ Happy happy birthday to Kristin, my big sis, my protector and confidante, my secret-keeper, memory-maker, and cheerleader! ♥ You are truly an amazing person and I am so grateful to have you in my life! You are an incredible (grand)daughter, wife, mother, and THE most fabulous sister, I honestly don't know how you juggle so many different roles but you do it so well, and I love that I can continue to look up to you :) Yes, you will be the maid of honor for every girl in our circle of friends, because you are the epitome of a best friend ♥ I am so so lucky that you're my sister and that I get to return the favor.

Needless to say, you also got to be the cuter kid growing up. You poopface. That's why Mom had to give you that pixie haircut ;) Teehee.

Speaking of Momma bear, check out those gams ;) Love you Mom, thanks for these photos!

Kristin, you did such a fabulous job with the pre-wedding (and wedding) festivities! Thank you for organizing and making the cutest decorations for my bridal shower! And, also for sort-of kind-of being the sweet mother hen for all of us :) I'm going to go ahead and speak on behalf of everyone by saying that we love you so much!

We get a little silly sometimes, but that's just what we do! We will always have our inside jokes and funny memories, the dinners spent with the fam that ends in us (literally) rolling on the ground laughing, the family trips, whispering in the dark, you doing voices when you read aloud to me when we were kids, fighting over clothes, crying on each other's shoulders over boys, doing movie impersonations. Hey, remember the day Hurricane Iniki hit and you woke me up with the sirens screaming "We're being attacked!" Haha! So rascally. But I still love you--boundlessly, unconditionally, and forever

Happy birthday, Sisterpantsface! Make it a good one! I'll buy you a shot in two and a half months!

Rock Monster says "Haaaaapppyyyyy biiiiiiirrrrthdaaaaaay, Kriiiiiistiiiiiin." That's payback for the Hurricane Iniki gag. Buahahahaha!!!
Love you Krissypants!

I Heart Good News!

[via]
Two of our dear friends decided to get engaged this past weekend and another pair just announced that they're expecting!
This has been such a happy week :)

These things happen in three's... waiting to hear what's next!

In the meantime, I study. I study all day long, with breaks only to tease the husband and check my Pinterest.

Current study music: the Lana Del Rey and Brand New stations on Pandora.

I forgot how much I used to love this stuff:
I've seen more spine in jellyfish
I've seen more guts in 11-year-old kids.
Ah, so good and angsty. Love it.

Back to studying I go. Biopharmaceutics exam tomorrow, joy! Have a great week!
